iAptPack Save your Cydia Sources

iAptPack (beta) is the latest way to save, share and backup your favourite cydia sources! This great service is now in beta testing, and is available for all myRepoSpace users. How it Works: - Simply enter your favourite Cydia Source(s). OR - Click on the Favourites button to review your Favourite Sources (more info below). - Once you're happy with the sources, click PACK. - Name and Describe your Pack, and within seconds, you'll have your .deb ready! - Download it to your PC or send it straight to cydia in a flash. This will help everyone who is sick or re-entering their sources, and is a great way to Add many myRepoSpace Sources in one go! (Rather then entering it all one by one). Video Favourites You can now mark myRepoSpace Repo's under your favourites! This will be slowly implemented into the website, but is now working with iAptPack. Let me know what you think + Any Suggestions! UPDATE After pulling out 90% of my hair, I have updated iApt to work better cross browser. As many of you know, i hate IE - but my tests say it's working now.

Cracked Apps

After receiving many emails about Piracy Concerns, I have decided that Cracked Apps will be now moderated. Many people use myRepoSpace to upload home-made themes, ringtones, wallpapers and even their own Applications. Some however, use myRepoSpace to pirate Apps. These select few are going against the TOS, and could get myRepoSpace.com shut down! I'm not naming names, however I am letting everyone know that copyright holders have the right to remove any infringing applications from your Repo. You will not be warned, it will be taken down from your Cydia and that's that. So please, do not uploaded your Any Package without prior consent from the owner.

Cydia Commenting

Let me begin by apologizing for the down-time yesterday. My Hosting Server was under upgrade and it seemed to have crashed. Luckily there was a backup, but it was performed a few hours before the update. So if you're missing some packages, you will need to re-upload them again. Cydia Commenting, Fast and Easy.: If you've been on any package page recently, you would have notice that now there is a comment button! This is a great way to add your comment on any package straight from Cydia. Package not working? - Let the uploader know as soon as it's finished downloading! It's really easy too, and it's configured for maximum speed on your iDevice. You will still need to login, but once you do, your login will be saved and you can leave comments on any package without logging in again. Let me know how it goes for you!

iDeb Tweaked

iDeb, is now working with larger files I've modified iDeb to work better with larger files. I've tested files of up-to 20MB, and it worked fine using Mozilla Firefox. I've currently enabled file handling of up-to 50MB on iDeb, but I haven't come across a big enough file to test it. If anyone has a larger .zip that they can test for me across different browsers (Safari, and Chrome in particular), that would really help me get this out of beta and into the mainstream of myRepoSpace. If you haven't tried out iDeb, be sure to give it a go. I'd love to hear any suggestions that you may have!

Re-Opening VIP Membership

For One Short Month, I will be re-opening VIP Membership donations. This is to generate some much needed funds to cover the costs of the DATA Bandwidth, and Storage that MyRepoSpace.com needs! (Which is increasing by the day). Amazingly myRepoSpace has now filled nearly 50GB worth of Cydia Goodness!! Download your .debs

This little image now holds the key to your existing .debs! You may now download .deb's at your will! Please do not abuse the server as a file hosting medium. We are already near Bandwidth Capacity as it is. Furthermore, Hotlinking .deb download links will not work unless you are Logged in to the account that has Uploaded that file. This is to avoid people leaching/hotlinking .deb's and using myRepoSpace as their file hosting server. This is a warning: You will be banned if all the bandwidth is going through your account. Fake Updater Bug

Hey Guys, I've been working with a couple of the members to fix this notorious Fake Updater Bug. It seems that there is a re-occurring trend connecting to all of them, so it should be easier to pin-point the problem if this problem were to arise again. For now, it seems that another percentage of Applications will have this Fake Update now show up on re-upload. Also, I will be providing a download link for you already uploaded .deb files. I will not include these links this Month as We are near Bandwidth Capacity, and adding this link would surely destroy bandwidth. If you are experiencing any more issues with your Cydia Repo, please let me know via the contact page (Link at the footer of the page). I'm trying my best to make the repo's dynamic enough to be error free with every package uploaded. -Admin

Hashsum Mismatch

This error has now been fixed! Unfortunately, now you may See "Size Mismatch". So, in order to fix this problem, you need to Re-Upload the .deb file. To do this, you can either delete the package and upload it again. Or, you can click "Edit" next to the package that has this error. Go into the "Update" Tab, and upload the .deb file again. This will ensure that all your change logs/screen shots will remain untouched. Any Questions? Ask.

Package Limit

Hey Guys, It's been a while since I last wrote anything! I've been very very busy these last couple of weeks, while trying to keep up with your email and forum posts too. I've just upped the limited on the packages from 100, to 150. Advertising and Donations have been very kind to myRepoSpace.com, and if we continue with the small amount of Advertising revenue we are getting, soon Donator membership may be a thing of the past (although, anyone who did donate will be granted special powers by me *wink*). Search Up

With over 200 Links indexed within Googles Vast Database, adding a Google Custom search seemed like a perfect fit to myRepoSpace.com Now, with a little button in the top right hand corner, you can now search the entire website from any page on MyRepoSpace.com It's really easy, simply hover to revile the search box and type and press enter. The box will be removed automatically when you remove your mouse cursor for 3 seconds. Google Does an Excellent Job integrating Search, and with this little widget you can search the entire website within a couple of seconds. So Try it out!

Forum Rules

Hey There, Forum Rules are finally live, check them out before you start posting away. Also I'm working on the Forums, both layout and functionality. I'm planning to add a killer new layout designer with even better functionality to boot. There is also mention of a search feature which has been lacking throughout the website. I'm planning on adding a searching feature not only to the forums, but to the entire website. More announcements will be posted here so be sure to keep your eyes posted or subscribe to the RSS. Closing IPAs

So, I've been thinking... I am considering closing down the IPA section of myRepoSpace.com. Many of the users who do look for cracked IPAs are going onto AppTrackr.org, which is a great web service, and has an even better Cydia Application. So, Take your last look at the IPA section, as it will be going, and hopefully replaced by another very popular function. Unless there are enough users to convince me to keep it online?

Demoing a New Layout

I was working away in Fireworks CS3 (My Layout editor of choice), and I was curious to know if I could make the website look a bit more, modern. This kind of layout has been adopter since Version 1 (aah, the installer days..that was 2008!). So, I toiled away trying to find the right look for the navigation, and I ended up changing the whole logo. Sorry to the guys who are trying to make an Official MyRepoSpace Winterboard Theme (If you like making themes IntialD is looking for Theme Developers to help him out.). I'm currently Only running this Layout on the homepage if you haven't already noticed, But If you are a Fan, I can convert everything to this layout, or just keep it the old traditional layout.. Hey Everyone. Say hello to the new MyRepoSpace.com. It's faster, sexier, and more dangerous then ever before! We'll.. It's faster - So Thats the good news. Also, we have no more red bell errors! Isn't that music to our ears. Cydia should be going back as normal, however the Website will be undoubtedly riddled with Problems and Bugs. So, I need you, the user, to help me flush out any bugs. Upgrading Soon

With the Generous Support for a few dedicated members, I have been able to purchase a couple months access to a server! This will mean no more red bells! Hurray! I have began transferring data to the new server, and My god is that a long tedious process. I'm doing this all the in background of myRepoSpace operations, so your experience shouldn't be affected - just yet. What I will need to be doing however, is closing down MyRepoSpace.com for a couple of short days to get all the final pieces of the website onto the new sever. Then I will be closing off this slow server, and moving everyone onto this new server! Let's hope everything goes to plan! MyRepoSpace.com is getting increasingly popular. Now with over 4000 Members and over 2000 Packages! I am very proud of the community we created. We are all amazing people, from all walks of life, who love to share and communicate. I am glad that it is over MyRepoSpace.com! Unfortunately, the more popular we get, the more damage it does on our little server. The Red Bell from the hosting provider is becoming a pain! Bug Fixed: Fake Update

I know most of you are scratching your head when you see an Update Badge on your Cydia icon when everything is already up to date. I do apologize, for these Fake Update Badges. It seems that Cydia compares packages by it's expanded size, and once you install a Package, it compares the expanded size, to the expanded size on your Repository. So, it has been fixed to work smoothly now. The only downside is that you will need to Re-Upload all the packages that show the 'fake update' Unfortunately there is no other way! If you still experience the problem, comment and I'll check out the Package.

Package Updater Released w/Icons

Updated: Package Updater now has the ability to change your icon straight from the edit page. When I first started MyRepoSpace.com Version 2, I never gave my users to same functionality and flexibilities as version 1. Now I am glad to announce that the Package Editer/Updater is online. Simply click on the Edit Packages Icon on your account's page, choose a package you wish to edit/update and click Edit. It will take you to a page that gives you full editing capabilities. You can change the title, short description, category, change log and even your dependencies and conflicts (advanced settings). Also, it doesn't stop there. You can even upload new screenshots and delete old ones! And finally you can even upload a new version of the package and it will appear as an update on Cydia. Any Bugs or Suggestions. Comment!

Things to Look Forward To..

Soon there will be new Awesome Features to Look forward to. Here are just a few that I am officially announcing. *Forums - A Must have for any community, look out for this one Soon. Beta Testing Still Available. If you're interested, comment. *Complete Package Updater - This new Function will give you the ability to completely edit your packages, Add and Delete Screen-shots, and even Update your package versions without loosing any existing information. Fixed: Error: Database

Some of myRepoSpace's users have been experiencing Database error with Cydia and their Cydia Repositories. The Error would read: "Error: Database - Problem parsing dependency Depends" I have addressed the issue. Turns out their was a minor bug in the way myRepoSpace was collecting information from your uploaded Cydia packages. But it has been fixed now. If you ever experience this issue again, please alert me ASAP! Oh, and I am aware of the problem with the 'packages that haven't been updated but appear in the updating section'. I am looking into that and am trying my best to fix it.

Profile counter reset

Dear users, I have reset all the profile views to 0 across the entire website! This is because I have implemented a new System for counting profile views that is much easier to process, therefore making the page loading process slightly faster. Also the new system will allow profile views to exceed 3,900 (which was the limited by the older system) I do apologize to those who have been trying to get their profile views up. Custom Icons; Now Available

Hey Guys, Sorry about the 403 error that you may have saw on the account. It has been fixed. Please when uploading. make sure your files are NOT corrupt, and packaged properly by a Linux machine!! Some uploads have cause some serious damage.

Modifying Uploads

Hey, Just a small update today. I've managed to code the Package upload-er to modify your package to ensure that they work on Cydia. What happens now is your package is uploaded, unpacked, modified, re-packed then sent to your repo. That's why it may take a little longer to load then normal. This will ensure that you download counter works - and you will never get Cydia mixing up a package between your source and another source. You may also notice that with some packages, you will get an "Alert Sign" saying that the package has a unique identifier. You cannot modify these packages to be unique to your RepoSpace because other packages 'depend' on packages with unique packages. For example, when you install a theme, it will depend on you having winterboard installed. So it will search for the ID: winterboard. Anything else you'd like to see on the website? Comment!

Personalize your Section Icons with your Avatar

While working on other projects on the website, I noticed that cydia could have customised Icons next to packages. So, I thought, my users should have this feature too, and I also thought: how could I make it as easy as possible?
