Follow below steps if all above are not working...


1) Download deb file from below location

2) scp deb through ssh default password of your idevice is 'alpine'

scp Fix\ Ultrasn0w\ For\ iOS\ 5.0.1\ \(3GS\).deb root@:~

3) Remove Ultrasn0w from idevice.

4) Install fix from ssh below are the example
SyNAcKs-iPhone:~ root# dpkg -i Fix\ Ultrasn0w\ For\ iOS\ 5.0.1\ \(3GS\).deb
Selecting previously deselected package com.kusumoto.fixultrasn0w3gs.
(Reading database ... 14389 files and directories currently installed.)

OK little easier method for less technical people

1. Download file here ---> http://www.mediafire.com/?j33mjhh0wh10i3t
2. Signup for dropbox here while its loading ----> http://db.tt/k7gT5s7W
3. put the .deb file on your dropbox account
3. Download dropbox on the appstore
4. Download iFile on Cydia (After installation respring)
5. MAKE SURE ultrasn0w is not installed
6. open your dropbox app on your iphone and navigate to the .deb file
7. click and open it with ifile (if it doesnt appear make sure you respring)
8. Install with ifile
9. reboot the iphone
10. install ultrasn0w 1.2.4 2 months ago

Supported versions of baseband: 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, 06.15.00 and 01.59.00.


These operations are to be done manually:

1. Set on your iPhone 3GS / iPhone 4 custom firmware iOS 5.0.1 without upgrading the modem, you can create with Redsn0w or Sn0wBreeze.

2. After activation of the device insure that Ultrasn0w is not installed and no SIM-card is inserted.

3. Connectivity to your device by SHH and go in the folder

System / Library / Frameworks / CoreTelephony.framework / Support /

4. Replace the file Comcentreclassic this:

Group: R = Yes W-= No X = Yes
Others: R = Yes W = No X = Yes

6. Install Ultrasn0w 1.2.4

7. Turn off the device, insert the SIM-card, reboot.

Hi I'm definitely having a bit of trouble with this I hope you can help! @smolk :) I followed all of the above steps. I downloaded the the .rar file and the remote terminal for unix. I deleted the Comcentreclassic file but not before saving a copy. Then I proceeded to add the .rar file with the correct permissions. Then I disconnected from the terminal, installed Ultrasn0w 1.2.4. The problem came when i noticed how long Ulrasn0w was taking to install. Then my iDevice automatically turned off and is currently stuck in booting up. I can see my custom logo for a long time then it turns to the apple logo for a while then flashes off for two seconds and starts over again. The only way I can get the screen to turn off is by keeping it in DFU mode. Please help! I appreciate it 2 months ago

Worked great on iPhone 4 bb 01.59.00 with the manual method.
