Cracking down on Cracked Apps
16th September, 2010 - 9:06AM
Ok, so I recently read the artical about Admin cracking down on Cracked/Pirated applications on peoples Repos. And it has created quite a stir.

In my honest opinion, I couldn't agree more with Admin, I think it is the right thing to do! I use MyRepoSpace to host my own application and the downloadable content with it, it took me 5 months to develop it, now THAT is effort.
However, I see people with just cracked apps, and it seems to make MyRepoSpace look clearly, cheap. It should be used by people who can use the bandwidth effectively! Seriously speaking, you guys knew this was going to happen, and there was no way to avoid hosting low downloaded, repetative, cracked applications! It servers little to no purpose, yet people continue to host cracked developers hard work. If my application was paid and someone hosted it cracked. I would fall to pieces! It nearly killed me when BigBoss, a public repo, wasn't happy that I featured my MyRepoSpace repo on my app when I wanted to submit my app to a public repo too. This was becuase he said "Most users cluster there section with illegal cracked applications"!
Kind Regards

If you want your application given out to a large audience, why not submit it to ModMyi? I know the owner and can help out.

I had a argument with ModMyi about advertising my repo on the application. So we had a disagreement.
However, I had joined up with BigBoss and they hosted my "Tap Tap Revenge: VIP" application 6 days ago. I have reached 11,000 downloads within that time. In total with my repo, that is about 11,600 downloads of the application, but thank you very much for the suggestion :D Pictures speak a thousand words, but music speaks a million.
