you can do it by using iDroid, its android ported to run with open iBoot on the iPhone 2G and 3G. on firmware 3.1.2 but its only available for Mac Website - Twitter

I am guessing you have installed a 'Physical to Virtual' memory rewriter (iMemory Enhancer) onto your iPhone 2G. It is effective, but try to stay away from "Safari Download Plugin" and other "Mobile Substrate" needing modifications, it can damage your iDevice.

As for installing Android onto your iPhone, don't get to excited, you won't be seeing 2.1 or 2.2 firmware on there any-time soon, but it is deffo in the workpipes. As for installing, 'InitialD' had it right first time, you will need a Mac to install the separate firmware.
